Frank and Fearless

THE MANDARIN'S NATIONAL PUBLIC SECTOR SURVEY 2024

More than 1,800 people responded to our Frank and Fearless survey, which covered many of the key issues facing the public sector across Australia.

For a decade, The Mandarin has been dedicated to Australia’s public sector.

To better understand the issues and challenges public servants face every day, we conducted this independent and wide-ranging survey, which was open from September 12 to October 3. It was pleasing to see how honest and thoughtful your responses were. For this, we are truly grateful.

We also thought you would enjoy seeing all of the key results in one place, which is why we created this interactive presentation. We hope you enjoy exploring the findings.

Overview

Who answered the survey?

Please note: There was a small percentage of those who were looking to work in the public sector, or had never worked in the public sector. Those results have been omitted from these breakdowns to only show the sample of public sector workers.
